Invitation Decline vs Proposal Decline

I get invitations matching my skillsets that I am not interested in.

Should I decline them, I am afraid the algorithm would read them as not of my interest and stop sending me more invitations of the same skillset.

OR

Should I accept and let the client decline the proposal? Then I worried that if algorithm lowers the rank of my proposals.

Do the first one.  No need to waste yours and buyer's time.

Clients are sending invitations, not the algorithm.
