Hello there, I have started to talk with a customer about a job, he asked me to provide him some sketches but at the end he decided to continue the project with other freeelancers , he wrote me this"Don't worry about doing the other 2 samples + feel free to send a $2 Upwork invoice for your trouble" do you know how can I get the 2$?,
Thanks a lot in advance for your support

Thanks for the quick reply, what would you suggest me to do then now?
Nothing, it's okay, move on. Next time don't work for free.

The client has to hire you to pay you.
It is a violation of Upwork's terms of service for a client to ask for free work, and you should not have offered to do a bunch of scetches for free (or virtually for free as $ 2 is as good for free....)

And since you have not been paid for the sketches, they are yours, so you can use them as you want, portfolio or sell them to another client, etc ...
And maybe watch that your drawings do not appear out there
