Is an agency account separate from the owners Freelancer profile or does it replace it?

Hello all.

I am researching the Upwork agency model to see if it is a good fit for my business.
It's early day's, and I'd like to know if an owner's freelance profile is replaced/no longer accessible after an agency has been set up? Or is it possible to remain working as an individual and an agency?
