Is it against the Upwork TOS if my client introduce me to his friend outside of Upwork?

I have a client that introduce me to his friend for the new project. 

And his friend is happy pay me outside of upwork. 
I don't feel I get protected outside of upwork. 
But I just want to know that is it against Upwork TOS?

Hi Uysim,

You can refer to Section 7 or the User Agreement for detailed information. Please note that if you identified or were identified by any party on Upwork, you agree "to request, make, and receive all payments for work directly or indirectly with that party or arising out of your relationship with that party" on Upwork for 24 months. The case you described would be considered circumvention.

What if I ask this guy to use direct contract. Will It against upwork TOS too?

Hi Uysim,

If the client doesn't have an Upwork account yet, it is okay to ask them to work with you via a direct contract.
