A client is requesting my resume. Is it allowed to attach a resume to messages

Any information that would be included in your resume should generally be included in your profile as well. But yes, you can attach your resume while communicating through Messages. However, please know that you're not allowed to share any contact information with clients before a contract is in place. The only exception to this would be a portfolio that you're unable to include in your profile, and you'd still be required to keep all communications on Upwork. Learn more about this here.
