Hello,
I have a few hourly contracts that are still open. I did complete all of the projects, however, the clients are not responding to any of my messages if there is anything else that I can work on. I have one that I haven't worked on for one month, and the other two are waiting for payment for the next 1 - 2 weeks. I was going to close the contract that was one month ago completed, then the other two once the payment is received to not have the payment escrowed back to the client.
Questions:
- Should I leave the contracts open or closed?
- Do clients care if the projects was completed vs leaving it ongoing?
- How many more times do you suggest that I follow up with the client?
- If they were good relationships, should I still ask for a 5 star review?
- Do most clients reach back out to the same freelancer for upcoming projects; if so, will leaving the contract open make it easier for the client then remaking another one?
- If the client doesn't get back for a while, then make a new contract, do other clients care about the total of jobs that you have completed?
