Is it "Circumvention" when hired through an agency?

I work through a temporary agency. Today they informed me of a job opening with a company in the area. I recognized the company, becuase I did work for them last year through Upwork.

Upwork's Non-Circumvention clause says I can't work for this company outside of Upwork for another 12 months, but does that really apply in my case? They did not come looking for me: they hired an agency to find the best candidate. (Hopefully, me.) And the agency didn't know I had worked for the company before.

It's a short-term job, so I doubt that anyone thinks I'm worth the opt-out fee of $3500 or more.
