Is the block function not working?

I've blocked the same job (and at a guess the same advertiser since the jobs are all worded the same) about 5 times in the last 2-3 weeks yet I still keep getting their crappy, and totally unrelated job advertisements that are more than like being used to scam people.

Is the block function not working these days ?

Blocking blocks a client account forever, BUT scammers create new scam accounts every time they are removed from the platform, so the system treats them as "new" clients.

But they can keep coming back with new names but with the same job posting 🙄

Yup. Can't be that many companies in Dhaka Bangladesh all looking for people Australian, German and Scottish to do 6 phone calls of a gazillion different devices.

Scam in the making.

Did you mean that you flagged the job as inappropriate? Because there's no way to 'block' a job.

Anyways, flagging a job is a meaningless deed because Upwork is not necessarily going to remove it.

There's not much you can do about such spammy job posts, unfortunately, except ignore them and/or use the save search function.

You can block the advertiser from sending you invites.
