I have an account with Upwork. I am trying to hire someone and the system won't let me. Please let me know what I need to do to correct the situation. Its rediculously difficult to get a quick answer out of you guys.
Why the HELL is it impossible to con tact you guys. I've never met a company with such a terrible support. For some reason i can not verify my card, because i've entered the currency in danish kroner. After 2 or 3 attempts I was told by your system to contact support. However The options i have is 1. A generic chat bot . with 4 or 5 default answers and a community that can opviously not help me verifying my card. I will take my business elsewhere, and truly hope that you will try to improve the culture in your company.
Today I checked a job post on work. I know that freelancers cantshare email id with clients but can you tell me are freelancers allowed toshare their email id in response to a question on upwork like question of What si your email id was asked in a job post?
With the recent changes to Upwork TOS, all communications should be done via Upwork messaging. It is not allowed to communicate outside of Upwork before a contract is placed. We realize that some tools and services require the sharing of an email address to gain access. If you require access to a system before a contract starts, you may share your email address for the sole purpose of gaining access to a system. All communications, however, must still take place on the Upwork platform.
I, too, will be taking my business elsewhere because of this issue. I have been using Upwork for years and have always loved it, but there is no one to help with a problem that is now keeping me from making money, so what other choice is there but to leave? I don't understand how they have no real people available to help their clients. Very unprofessional, if you ask me.
