I have been working on Upwork since last November. currently, I plan to move to a flat with my friends. They are using ONE broadband line with a router. I came to know that a couple of months ago one of my friend's Upwork account was banned for violation of TOS. He was using the same broadband line (IP) I am planning to use in the future. My concern, Is whether this can be a problem for my Upwork account. As I heard when Upwork banned an account they banned the IP too.

You can always use a virtual private network (VPN) if the IP address is a problem.

It is possible. I think your account will be suspended then re-identification asked. You can confirm all required then continue works.
Or it will work without suspension.
Be aware with VPNs. It also can be detected as suspicious activity lead to suspension.

I have used at least two VPNs when using Upwork with no problem.
It's certainly worth a try for this particular poster.

Yep, at own risk.
But issued verification not a problem if accout legal.
