Is this a scam?

I received an invitation for a job (payment method not verified). First, she asked for my email. I told her that during our pre-contract communication we should use Upwork chat. After that she verified her payment method and sent me an offer also. Should I accept the offer? What should I do?

This is a basic business decision nobody can make for you.

If the job description seems ok if you are being paid what you'd usually charge, and if the milestones are sufficiently funded why not?

A payment method not verified is not a red flag in itself, when a client establishes a contract hourly or fixed fee they have to verify the payment method.
