Hi
I recently noticed a drop in my JSS. All my jobs had 5-star reviews and the clients were happy. Is there any other reason for JSS drop? As long as the private feedback are concerned, I am pretty sure that it is not an issue with private feedback (or I can be wrong but I really don't know why it is dropped suddenly).

Your JSS isn't bad. You have lots of "no feedback" contracts, which don't hurt your JSS at all, but they don't help either since there is no feedback from the client. Make sure that you always get feedback by asking the client to end the contract.

It is.
The stars are irrelevant.
Basically, someone left poor private feedback between the 26th of December and the 9th of January.

No. It can't be. They have no effect whatsoever at all.

Hmm, then only one client could possibly do that because he confessed to ending the contract in hurry and then apologized to me for the inconvenience. He told me that his judgment was biased by sleeplessness and continuous proofreading on many freelancers' work.
He gave me 5 stars on public feedback to stay away from arguments or bad review from my side but played on me while giving me private feedback. Alas! it was too late by the time he came to his senses about carelessness he showed.
Is there anyway, I can request some assistance on his private feedback?

So you asked your clients who left you bad private feedback? That is not professional. You should never do that.
Private feedback can't be changed, so that was all for nothing. That client will never work with you again.

Ofcourse not. I was just sharing the story of what happened. I better focus on doing more quality work than being stuck on the previous issues. I never asked the client about his private feedback.

No, there is no way to dispute private feedback or change it.

Thank you so much, Martina. I guess your explanation is the most logical one. I do have a lot of "no feedback" clients and I am continuously trying to get more feedback now. When jobs are done in perfection, we should ask clients to take 2 more minutes for feedback.

Yes, exactly. Those contracts don't hurt your JSS, but the more you have with feedback, the better. Only if the feedback is good, of course.

No you really shouldn't ask for feedback at all, simply ask your clients to close the contract if they don't need any other help for now. They will be forced to provide feedback when they close the contract.

I am currently experiencing the same, that is a sudden drop in the JSS score, what could be the issue?
