Your more than welcome to post or discuss any topics you would like, even provide advices for new freelancers that are struggling and are coming here for an advice.

Completely agree with Emma, Upwork has a ridiculous JSS system, which does not favour freelancers. 
I have long term clients, who do not leave feedback - but they are happy hence giving me repeat projects again and again. Upwork does not take this into account - even with 100% recommendation form clients, they have reduced my score to 76, rendering me unsuccessful in getting new projects even after delivering well on all my previous work. 
I am also looking to other sites than Upwork, because of this.

You are so right, so according to Upwork it is the freelancer's fault if the clients aren't leaving any feedback, if they are one-off users and are irresponsible, unprofessional, careless and directionless?

Oh well, and we are also respsonsible for the shady "private feedback" part, how can we even think of improving something that is kept private from us? If a client has a complaint they can directly message the freelancer and communicate better, instead of ruining a freelancer's JSS and work history.

I would post agreement but Upwork keeps censoring me because they have no responses to our concerns, only canned talking points that don't add up

Upwork seems to think that by vaguely explaining rules the specifics of which they think they can keep from us that this is a proper response to us pointing out a system that is blatantly flawed in its scoring system.  Par for the course...

You can ask your clients that after a job completion they close the contact, leave feedback and hire you in a new contract. tell them that the feedback is required for your Upwork profile. If you have a little contracts with no active milestone, it is not trouble, but if you have meny, it can affect to your JSS. Also it affects when you have 2 months or more with an active milestone without it being paid or at least the work submitted. Sometimes is not your fault, but fault of the client, or fault of third situations (for example it happened me with a client because of the COVID-19 lockdown, where the office mates of my client could not test timeliy a work submitted by me), but the system works this way.

I had 92% JSS even last week. By this time I haven't closed any job. But this week the JSS automatically downgraded to 90%! 2% minus without any reason!

Can anybody tell me why it happened? What I should do now?

Same with me as well..Infact i successfully completed one job which i got a perfect 5 on 5..Thought i would get a better rating..But instead i was downgraded as well Smiley Sad
