Job Application Withdrawn by Upwork

I applied to a contract, but later found out that the application was Withdrawn without my knowledge by Upwork.

Based on other threads, I am assuming that this was due to having a brand new account.  I was prompted for the ID verification only after a couple of days and successfully completed that, but the application still shows withdrawn and it has created a very unfortunate experience with a potential client.

Can you please confirm how I can avoid a repeat of this?

You cannot. Upwork removing all your applications with verification started. Nut you verified already so have some time to apply.
