Job activity section

Greetings!👋

I'm currently facing some confusion regarding the job activity section. While I grasp the concept of the "proposal" part, which indicates the number of proposals submitted for a job, as well as the "last viewed by client" information, I'm uncertain about the meaning behind "Invites sent, interviewing, and unanswered invites."

My confusion arises from instances where the number of proposals displayed is relatively low (e.g., 10-15), while the number of individuals being interviewed is significantly higher (e.g., 35). Additionally, I've noticed cases where the "hired" count is provided, but the numbers for interviewing or invite sent are listed as zero. Does this imply that the client hired someone without conducting any interviews?🫠

I would greatly appreciate some clarification on these matters. Thank you

Oh! also, the eye icon that a freelancer sees when the client views the proposal, does it still

work?🫤

In the job activity section of a freelancing platform, the terms "Invites
sent," "interviewing," and "unanswered invites" refer to different stages
in the hiring process. Here's an explanation of each term:

1. Invites sent: This indicates the number of invitations the client has
sent to freelancers, asking them to submit proposals for a particular job.
It represents the number of freelancers who have been invited to apply.

2. Interviewing: This refers to the number of freelancers who are currently
in the interviewing stage for the job. These freelancers have likely
submitted proposals and have been shortlisted by the client for further
evaluation. They may have had initial discussions or interviews with the
client to assess their suitability for the job.

3. Unanswered invites: This indicates the number of invitations that have
been sent to freelancers but have not yet received a response. These
freelancers may not have accepted or declined the invitation yet, or they
might not have seen the invitation.

Regarding the situation where the number of proposals is relatively low
while the number of individuals being interviewed is higher, it could mean
that the client has invited a larger number of freelancers to apply, but
only a portion of them have actually submitted proposals. The interviewing
stage usually comes after the proposal submission, so it's possible that
some freelancers were invited but didn't proceed with submitting a proposal.

In cases where the "hired" count is provided but the numbers for
interviewing or invite sent are listed as zero, it could indicate that the
client hired someone without conducting formal interviews. This scenario is
uncommon but not impossible. It's possible that the client had prior
knowledge of the freelancer's work or reputation and decided to hire them
directly without going through the interview process.

Regarding the eye icon that signifies when a client views a proposal, its
functionality may vary depending on the freelancing platform you are using.
Generally, the eye icon is intended to indicate that the client has viewed
your proposal. However, it's recommended to check the specific platform's
documentation or reach out to their support team to confirm if this feature
is still active and functioning as expected.
