Hello upwork
A job i proposed offered me a example to complete and told that he will pay for the example. It was a big task as a example.
I found he took interview of more than 17 freelancers .
Now the job is no longer.
My question is
he is taking his works done by asking to complete example.
And taking interviews of lots of people than dont hire anybody also dont pay for the example.
Is it not breaking the policy ??

Asking for free work, even if it's really a test, is against UW policy. But here comes a very simple solution, that unfortunately most freelancers don't take into account and get scammed: Never ever work without a contract with the money funded.

All Upwork can do is ban the client, but that won't get you any payment. So next time someone asks you to work without a contract, you just report the client to Upwork.

Hi Md,
Please know that unpaid test work is not allowed on Upwork. I will go ahead and check this user in your Message Center and report this to the team, but I would suggest that if you come across similar clients in the future, to please flag their job post as inappopriate so that actions can be taken against their job posts and accounts.
