Im new in upwork community.
someone hired me to create and maintain her company social media in real estate bussiness.
I charge her hourly. In the process, she asked me to build her company website, Complete with property listing database, SEO and another form request.
I finished the job and she give me the approval review. I saw she canceled the job.

i try to contact her, asking why she canceled the job. But no response.
My mistake, not log the time right away after she agree how much i charge her.
I hope my mistake and my fooliness not happen to anyone else.

Even though the interview room created for that particular contract has been archived, you can still communicate with the client. Just search by her name using the search field on the left and start a new conversation. It doesn't look like you have accepted her offer yet and the contract wasn't created. Make sure you don't start working for a client until you have an active contract with that client under My Jobs.
Thank you for sharing your story here in the Forum.
It is good that you have begun to learn how to use Upwork properly. The event you described is a good thing, because it helped prompt you to do so.
The most important thing to do now is what you have already done: truly embrace the fact that you will not get paid for the work this client tricked you into doing for free. By accepting this, and learning from it, you can move forward and begin to earn money for real.
Dear Mrs Valeria and Mr. Preston,
Thank you for the quick reply and the solutions.
Yes, i learned and teach me good lessons.
Now, Time to move on an earn real money
For anybody reading this who is new here, this is what happened:
- A client told Ephapras that she hired him. But she was just tricking him.
- She never clicked the "Hire" button. He never clicked a button to accept a contract.
- There was never a job listed in the My Jobs tab on his screen.
- He did the work, but there is no way for him to get paid, because the client is long gone, having received the work he did for free.
