Has anyone found that joining in a network with other freelancers improves either the Upwork experience or their ability to earn more on Upwork?

It isn't clear to me what the best purpose of these networks is?

Joining with freelancers network will definitely boost your profile for new business opportunities.

Join with similar experience or you think they might be your future clients, as 3 freelancers have joined my network and one of them have messaged me with a client's reference which can be my future client.
