Does the job listing itself sound too good to be true?  Flag it and move on.

Does the client require your personal email address, phone number, or request payment outside of Upwork?  Remind them about the terms of service - or - flag it and move on.

Does the client ask to pay by venmo, paypal, or other means?  Flag it and move on.

Does your gut tell you that something is not right?  Flag it and move on.

Is the client demanding and hurt your feelings?  Don't flag it or move on.  Talk with them.  Find a solution you can both live with.

Has work or client response suddenly dried up?  Welcome to being your own boss, time to problem solve.
