I am a freelance translator. I set up my business in France and I am currently living temporarily in Australia. However, my business address is in France and I am still registered in France for tax purposes (and I intend to keep it that way). So is there a way to give my French business address in the 'Tax Information' tab but my Australian residential address in the 'Contact Info' tab? Or is anyone in my case and if yes, what did you do?
I think there is a way of continuing to pay your French "cotisations" so that you don't lose out on your pension etc.
But you do need to find out, from the Australian tax authorities, how (if it exists) double taxation works, and if you are allowed to work as a freelancer in Australia.
