I took a long break from working online and upon coming back my profile visibility was set to private. I have applied for several jobs and dont believe my applications are been seen. Please help.

Rest assured, clients are able to see your proposals even if your profile is private. That said, I went ahead and reset your profile visibility back to public.

Hi,

 

It seems disappointing to see your mail which shows that my account has been changed from the public into private and it's 2nd time even though I was applied to many jobs recently. I guess they're giving priority only to premium members rather than free members. In fact, I haven't got any single project since I started with Upwork which is almost a year.

 

I haven't seen any positive outcome by being an Upwork freelancer so far so I wish to close my account.

I would also like to clarify that, If you are a new freelancer and don't earn money on Upwork within 90 days of your first proposal, your visibility will be changed to private. To learn more about this, check out this Help Article. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I understand, I applied many jobs in the past 90
days and still I haven't got any single contract, is the mistake from my
side ???

I can sense that Upwork giving priority only to premium members rather than
free members. Because I've been trying almost a year, not even a single
contract I get through Upwork and frequently it changes my account public
into private.

So considering all the parameters I really wasting my time here. Let me
close my account and let me try some other options in the world of internet.
