Alison Green - https://www.askamanager.org/. Best (and most prolific) advice I've ever come across on handling professional relationships (and other work-related issues).

Liz Ryan, CEO of the Human Workplace
, CEO of the Human Workplace
I have been reading Liz's columns, conversations with, and recommendations to working professionals for years and think she can make a great contribution to Upwork - although she may also tell you internally that the platform's "recruitment specialist" processes are deeply broken.

I think it would be cool to hear from the author of Atomic Habits, James Clear.
Or Atul Gawande, author of The Checklist Manifesto [he used checklists to significantly improve surgical outcomes worldwide]
Or Mark Manson, author of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a **bleep**, which I think would be beneficial for many freelancers to learn. : )

Most admire in some abstract sense: Seth Godin. Probably trite to say it, but I never fail to have an aha! moment when listening to him give a new presentation. Not sure he'd do it, and not sure he's in-budget, but he is a delight.
Would most like to hear, if you were concocting a little treat (or maybe a virtual re-treat?) for us: tie between Sean D'Souza (Psychotactics), Becky McCray & Deb Brown (Save Your Town etc.), and Jon Acuff. Have been a loyal reader/ listener of all of them for many years and they're all still delivering fresh goods.

Nice initiative!
My preferences are pretty simple: I cannot help listening to anyone else than my brilliant Head of Marketing. 🤪

What is it with you and coconuts? Please elaborate. And no, just living in an exotic location isn't enough.

Martina, what are you asking? 😳
I don't have a thing about coconuts. It's not because of me. 🙄
Coconuts are the thing! 😜
See for yourself on YouTube: "coconut is not a nut" (Can't post the link here, I guess.) It's my kid's suggestion for my theme song... as I already have a sidekick. 🤪
