I'm trying to get more information about the fee schedule for Direct to Local Bank transfers. I'm currently using them, but the fees are quite confusing. (I'm ignoring the $0.99 fee and focusing only on the Payoneer fee that Upwork pays for the conversion and transfer).
For a transaction of $1,100, I paid a 4% fee. For a transaction of $650, I paid a 2.4% fee. And for a later transaction of $1,100, I paid a 1.9% fee.
This doesn't make sense to me, and the only potential reason I can think of is the varying FX spread that Payoneer uses over time? Still weird because currency markets aren't normally that illiquid. Could someone from the Upwork team (or a user who knows) elucidate what's going on with the wonky fees?

Hi Varun,
I checked your account and do not see these charges/fees you have shared on your post. If these are incoming fees to your bank account, you may check these with your local bank. These fees are not something Upwork can control.
