Meaning of being re-hired.

Hi.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I read somewhere that being re-hired adds up to your job success.

I'm confused on the meaning of this. Does this mean finish the contract and being invited? Or is it the same as having a fixed contract then extending the contract meaning adding more milestones.

Please enlighten me.

Thanks!

it (re-hire) means a new contract with the same client. Milestones on the same contract are part of that "hire" and don't count as a re-hire. However, regular (!) new milestones on an existing contract help make that contract count as a long term contract, which also counts positively.
