You really should work on your profile before you worry about a paid membership. A three sentence overview tells a client nothing. A client wants to know what you specialize in, what you can offer them. A newspaper clipping in your portfolio doesn't tell them much either. If you beef up your profile and maybe take some tests you can attract clients.
