Message thread disappeared?

Hi, 

I applied to a position for proofreading and was responded to by the client. He started to ask me questions and after about 10 minutes, the whole message history disappeared and I cannot access it anymore. 

What happened?

The job was likely removed and his account was suspended or banned for a TOS violation.

Upwork probably deleted it because somebody was trying to scam you. You have no portfolio, a rather high hourly rate for somebody with no experience, and you're using a cartoon instead of a real photo of yourself, which is against the rules. If you look like you don't know what you're doing, you will be repeatedly targetted by scammers instead of hearing from real clients.
