Messaging people in your network TOS

Hi all!

With the fairly new ability to message people in our network, I haven't found the TOS dictating what we can and can't talk about in messages. Can we exchange contact information? Can I speak to them about jobs/opportunities outside of the upwork platform? Can I see if someone would be interested in joining an Upwork agency? If anyone knows the information or link for the policies around this, please share. Much thanks.

Thank you for reaching out to us here in the Community and raising this query. Our marketplace was designed so that every part of freelance work — from pitching to getting paid — happens right here on our site.

That means there's no need to contact anyone you work with on Upwork outside our platform. If someone contacts you outside of Upwork using info found on Upwork, that's considered as Unsolicited Contact. It's a serious violation of Upwork's TOS and we highly suggest our valued members to report them here when noticed.
