Hi, recently I am getting jobs that are not relevant to my skillset in the most recent section. Please can anyone help me with it? I am a graphic designer and the jobs shown are "ads management' "ads expert" etc which are not relevant to my skills.
Thank you
Sohit

No, you should not remove the jobs in your employment history. Most of the algorithm adjustments seem to generate irrelevant jobs for a while, but then it calms down based on market demand.
Even though you have not completed jobs related to advertising, I think the algorithm picked up on keywords in previous jobs where you developed banners used for advertising.

I think this happens occasionally when there are adjustments to Upwork's matching algorithms. I think when marketplace demand increases or decreases for a skill category, Upwork's matching algorithm goes beyond simple skill and keyword matches and looks for similiar skills/keywords in similar categories.
For example, you completed a few jobs that requested designs for advertising and product pictures for a website, and other jobs where you developed banners used for advertising. Also, you mention your employment history with an ad agency and your ability to develop print and digital advertising.
In other words, graphic designers are not ad managers, but graphic designers often create digital ads. It could be that Upwork's matching algorithm--based on the current state of the marketplace and your profile--is pushing "ads" jobs to your feed.

Hi Clark, I have not done any jobs that are related to advertising. My recent jobs are mostly packaging design because it is my primary skill. If it is because of employment history should I remove it? I was getting a lot of packaging design jobs before though.
Thank you
