I have a client who wants me to do two very distinctly different jobs and is willing to pay 2 different rates for me to do both. Can I have more than one open job with the same client with different rates for each?

In principle there is nothing wrong with that. How much will the rates differ? In my opinion, it's not a good look on a profile if the rates vary widely. After all, an hour of your time is an hour of your time.

Perfectly within the rules, but remember that if things go wrong, that is 2 potential punches to your metrics, not just one.
I also don't quite see the point of the two rates, my hour is 60 minutes of my life whatever I am doing.

Hi Martina and Petra, thanks for your answers. I guess I am overthinking this. I think the best solution is to increase the rate (to the higher amount that the customer is willing to pay) and keep that as my main contract. They want more work and are willing to pay a higher rate, so change them to that higer rate I guess!
