how long it takes to get the trial assignment after interview?

Hi,I received the offer for Trial phase from ****. When I start my oDesk time tracker I saw multiple tasks. I thought they will send me the documents regarding what is to be done and all. So please let me know what I need to do? *[Removed by Admin]

This is the oDesk user forum. Nobody here can tell you what work needs to be done for your client, so you need to ask your client!

Hi I received an invitation for a job from ***. I applied for the same. Passed the test and interview. The interviewer told me that I will receive a trial assignment. It is almost 2 weeks and I didn't heard anything from those guys. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get the trial assignment after interview. Thanks *[Removed by Admin]

I was waiting for 5 days after interview and signing the "Propritary information agreement". Also, during that time I was confused by several invitations to interview for another jobs for ****. Finally I send them a message to clarify, what am I suppose to do with those invitations. In the same day they sent me a notification of trial phase start. Maybe you have to remind them of yourself. I've read so much about ***(that's the name I prefer to address them with). I researched them to the best of my ability, when I got the invitations for interview.Being a newbie in oDesk, it can help one launch a career if hired,of course after the trial job. Presently I'm undergoing the trial assignment, though the real task has not been communicated to me. When I finish typing this comment, I'm going to deal with that. My past experiences in recruitment exercises from renown organizations ( E.g ***)which are all multinational oil companies operating where I come from, have taught me that a lot is expected from you, before you can be hired. I even wrote a back-breaking online test with *** last month. A friend of mine even waited 2yrs before he was hired by ****. At the risk of sounding like a preacher,I would say that life is not easy for anyone-even though it may look rosy sometimes. I know that as humans sometimes we get angry due to frustration, especially from unemployment, but we should be careful not to overreact. This guys**** are very clear about their requirements. When I had doubts I asked them. They stated in their job advert that you would only be paid if you're successful in the trials.And oDesk says there's no guarantee on fixed jobs. I love challenges. Sometimes you fail, but a real failure is when you stop trying. I know that sometimes they send you an annoying mail..."sorry, we are afraid you will not be proceeding to the next stage, blah blah blah". When I hear this, I merely laugh and keep on trying. Eventually you will win. We are survivors, we won't back down. Have you ever thought about beating them at their own game? People beat casinos, you know. Hell, I could continue like this the whole night (its 20:20(UTC+01:00) West Central Africa time. Bottom-line,If you don't like an offer then don't take it. If you want to change people then be constructive in your criticism. Remember that you can be an employer tomorrow.Surviving the harsh economic climate means you have to be tough. But we all have a choice to reject what we don't want, politely. *[Removed by Admin]

It's an identity fraud operation. If they got your ID, you'd better cancel it before the bills arrive. It'll cost me about 300 USD to replace my passport now that I got suckered. * If they only hire the very best, why do they want your ID before even processing your application? * If they're so smart, how come their web site has been down all week and how come the google cached version from a week ago looks like the first web page ever? * Why can't you find the company details online or who the CEO is? * Why does some bloke in Croatia own their domain? * If they're trying to build a high-quality name, why do they change it every five minutes? * Why did I get an invite on a Saturday night for an interview on Sunday morning? * Why doesn't the interviewer tell you anything about the company, seem to have any clue about the job you're applying for, or even have any questions he wants to ask you? * Why did he look blank when I merely asked what programming languages they used? * Why did my skype crash for the only time ever half way through the interview, never to start again, and why was that computer unusably slow until I reinstalled it? I reckon the people on here saying they got paid are members of the gang. And oDesk is also in the gang. Beware.
