My client disappeared, is there any hope of getting paid?

Hello!

About a month and a half ago my one of my clients disappeared and has been unresponsive since. All offers to meet go unanswered, outreach isn't effective etc...

We were getting very close to a final draft too so I'm afraid they've just taken the work and run. 

Is there any way to claim part of the contract fee because 80% of services were rendered, or is my only option to close out the contract and call it a loss?

I am guessing this is a Fixed Price contact? You can submit the work for payment. If they don't respond within 14 days the funds are automatically released to you. Only submit the milestones you completed. If there is only 1 milestone than it depends on what you want to do. You could submit the work, wait 14 days or until the client reaches out, and then refund the amount for the 20% of work not done.
