My payment was rejected by my bank after Upwork asked me to update my bank account information

As mentioned in the subject, my bank denied my payment after I updated my bank account information due to the request I received from Upwork "the bank account number entered does not meet the 7-digit max bank account number that is required."

 

I could receive my payment before Upwork disabled my payment method without asking me first. So please help me solve this problem.

I would recommend reaching out to your bank and double checking that the information you`ve entered are correct. Afterward you can withdraw your funds and if you experience the same problem again, let me know here. Thank you.
