Need To exchange emails with my client.

Hi, I have a ongoing contract with a client, Since I'm a Software Developer He need's to give permission to work with him on some platforms, this envolves exchanging our email addresses. I heard that It's possible If we have a contract. But since the concequenses could be the end of my carier on UpWork, I'm a bit stressed about that and need to double-check. 

Please Help me with that.

You cannot do it before contract started.
