Need some Maths help with the 20% to 10% service fees

So, I'm about to reach the $500 treshold with my client which will enable me to have a 10% service fee charge instead of the 20%. 

Say if I'm already paid $450 and his next payment will be $150. Will the next payment be charged at 20% and then after that, the following payments will be charged at 10%? Or will the first $50 in the $150 charged at 20% and the remaining $100 is charged at 10%?

The first $50 of the $150 will be at the 20% rate, and the remainder will be at the 10% rate.
