Hi

 

I am new to oDesk. I had applied for a job and I've received a message to start a job from a website (data entry). The client is also new (i.e. payment method not verified). While working in other (freelance) sites, we receive a notification from the website saying, the job has been awarded to you.

 

But in oDesk, how should I find whether this is safe or not. What is the actual procedure. I can refer to the manual. But I have to reply to the client as soon as possible. That's why I am sending this message. 

 

Also let me know, are there any ways to chat with oDesk customer support lively?

Hi Ganesh,

 

I remembered that I had faced a similar kind of problem when a client wanted me to hire for a new job. From my experience, my suggestion is that, you should ask your client to verify his payment method in order to hire you through oDesk for the task that you have applied for. When he got his payment method verified, then he can be able to hire you by the process mentioned in the link as follows:

Definitely you will get a notification when he hires you.

 

But if your client still finds difficulty to hire you, you would suggest him to contact oDesk CSS team and they would certainly help him to resolve that issue.
