New Time Tracker Release Buggy

I've been using the tracker for years with no issue. Recently it was updated to version 5.1.0.509 on my Mac (haven't tried it on my PC yet). However, within minutes of choosing to stop recording time on a given project, I get a message from the app telling me that it's become unresponsive and should I restart it or wait. If it I say "No" it will keep bugging me with that message until I restart. This seems to happen every time now when I stop the timer on a project. Everything else is the same with my setup and again I've been using this for years. It's MacOS High Sierra.

Scott, I have same time tracker version, but OS sierra instead of high sierra. I haven't tracket time with it this week, but next time I do, I'll report here with the results.

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Can you please try using it on your pc and see if it will have the same error? Please let us know so we can check and assist you further.

I've just updated my desktop app after a prompt and the new version crashes on load (5.1.509)

Mac OS 10.11.6 El Capitan

 

It gets as far an logging in and loading screens for Time tracker and Messages, but crashes out before completion.

Thanks. I did submit crash reports the first two times, but got bored after that.

Fingers crossed for finding the issue for the next release ๐Ÿ™‚

I must be the lucky one. I tried it 20 minutes ago on a new contract, and it worked as usual. After I paused it, there was an alert that I paused the timer and nothing else. I'll check my work diary in about an hour, see if it actually recorded everything as it should.

Since my last post, Iโ€™ve restarted time tracker twice and everything seems normal but Iโ€™m keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks. I've trashed my Application Support>Upwork folder, redownloaded and installed again. Same issue, application loads Time tracker and up to the final point of pulling in Messages conversations and then crashes with an onscreen message "Internal Upwork error. Upwork has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Would you like to restart"

Is there a way to access the older versions of the desktop app ?

I find it really useful to have running while I work.

Thanks. If I could launch the updated app, I might be able to try it.

I've just restored from a back up Version 4.2.153.0 which works as expected. Any reason why I couldnt run this ongoing ?

This has been happening to me more or less constantly, but only when I am not logging time so far. It's annoying, but hasn't really been affecting my workflow.

Upwork issue.JPG

This issue continues to happen after a few minutes when shutting off the timer. I have removed and reinstalled the app with no success. This same issue does not occur on PC.

I'm sorry to hear that, Scott. I wanted to check if any of these troubleshooting steps does not help? Are you also able to file a ticket on the app itself?
