New rules to become top rated?

How is it possible that a freelancer with a job history consisting of 2 jobs in progress and no completed jobs is top rated?

  • Exclusive agency freelancer with top rated agency (inherits the status of their agency)

or

  • It's possible if the 2 jobs are very long term as long term jobs count like successfully completed ones eventually.

Hi Jennifer,

Could you check if the freelancer in question is associated with an agency? If they are it's possible they are an exclusive agency member of a Top Rated agency, in which case that status would also be reflected on their freelancer profile.

I guess that makes all talent specialist top rated by default.

Only if they are exclusive

The one I found works for two different clients and not for any agency but Upwork. So despite never having completed a job it is possible to get a 100% JSS **Edited for Community Guidelines**

Jennifer, I'm praying the almighty Great Brown Coconut that this is not true! 😱
