No option to attach a file to invitation to interview response

When accepting an invitation to interview, there is no option to attach a file.  Instead, you have to send a separate message to the client with your sample work. attached, after you respond to the actual invitation.  My OCD finds this appalling.  I read a thread dated Dec. 2015 that it would be fixed in the future, but it still isn't available.  Are there any plans to fix this?

Hi Wendy,

Yes, our team is aware of some issues with invitation flow, inability to add attachments being one of them, and they are working to address those issues. Some changes are scheduled to be made within a month and we'll keep the Community updated.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Thank you -

I have just received an invitation via an Upwork Talent Specialist where the client requires to either submit some samples of my previous work or make a free sample of what they need (hardly ToS-abiding).

Unfortunately, I couldn't submit any files as the interface did not offer me an opportunity. To my negative surprise, it doesn't even show as a conversation in the Messages log which was a way to overcome the lack of support for file attachments in responses to invitations before. I had previously submitted the message hoping there is still a way to transfer files, stating that "I am going to attach samples". Now I am about to withdraw the proposal just because the platform did not let me make a valid response to a prospect.

Hope the is a kind of hidden button to let the files in, though I really doubt.

HI Miroslav,

Could you please share with me via a private message the job post you are referring to, and the message you received from the Upwork Talent Specialist?

I looked into this further and I'll be sharing this with the team for their review.

UPDATE: The team has taken actions agains the job post, Miroslave. We will also be reviewing this with the Talent Specialist team so that the processes of recommending job posts to freelancers can be improved.

Once you accept the invitation, a conversation with the client is initiated; you can then attach documents via messages.

I did that just a day ago.

As I said, it didn't appear in my messages, so I couldn't do anything.

After accepting the invitation, I clicked the Messages tab. The message option for that job was available, and I sent the files.

Maybe the client initiated the interview. It was almost instantaneous after my accepting the invitation.

It used to be the case with me before, but now I wasn't able to see it there. In such cases I suppose I have to wait for the client to reply should it land to my inbox where files can be attached.
