No second job!

Active Member

Hello to all

I'm like 3 months in upwork and I'm concerned because I can't find my second job.

It took me like a month to get the first one, I know this is normal but it was an easy job for newbies... but now It's like 2 months I've been sending proposals for jobs I know I'm qualified but I don't get any, I'm stuck.

Am I doing something wrong? My profile? My proposals?

Anyone who would like to check my profile and send some feedback? I'll be very grateful

I'll wait for your answers

I just checked your profile. Infact, I spent more than a  minute reading your profile but couldn't find exactly the kind of services you offer.

It was after I had a second look bofore I saw in the title "Translation, transcription, proofreading and data entry.

I recommend adding a little information about the kind of services you offer also in the in the "Overview" . This might probably help client to quickly see what services you offer.

Hi Mensah, LOL!!! You have checked the wrong profile. I wasn't the one that asked for help.

Hi Mensah!

Than you so much for your feedback, I'll work in my "overview" putting more information

Best regards!

Hi Andres,

We are sorry to hear that you're having issues getting jobs. I understand how frustrating it is to have to go through this. I regret the inconvenience this has caused you.

Here are some of the pointers that we recommend as part of any successful application process:

-Apply only to those job postings for which you are truly qualified and feel confident you can complete successfully.

-Submit a cover letter customized to address the specific requests and needs of the job posting.

-Submit an accurate application reflecting your understanding of the scope of the contract and the amount.

-Request clarifications of scope, deliverables and due dates from clients, as needed.

-Update the application's requested pay rate to reflect any changes prior to being hired.

-Inform the client of your availability and normal working hours, expected response times to communications and any planned or potential vacations, holidays or other known work outages.

-Respond promptly and professionally to messages from the client.

Also, a great profile shows potential clients your value as a freelancer. You want to encourage clients to invite you to apply to their job postings. This is your first chance to make an unforgettable first impression. Put some time and effort into creating a profile that separates you from the crowd!
