I had some problem and when i tried to contact LIVE CHAT SUPPORT.... it was not available anymore.
LIke to know why and what is the criteria for having LIVE CHAT SUPPORT (previously it was one has to be a TOP rated freelancer which I am).

Hi Rana,
Try clearing your cache and cookies or logging in with another browser. If the live chat still is not showing on your end let me know.

Clearing the cache and browsing history also didnot worked and while using other browser (chrome) i was not able to see the help options anywhere..... above and below are the screenshot of both the browsers

What do you need Chat Support FOR?
It is Christmas. Is your issue really that urgent it can't be addressed via a ticket?

No, i don't have any urgency now... does that mean i should wait for an emergency situation... and when emergency situtation arises.. then complain about this issue.............. LIVE SUPPORT is available all TOP FREELANCER then why is it not working for me.........

If people didn't run to Support every 5 minutes with all sorts of nonsense such as not being able to access a feature they don't even need at that moment at CHRISTMAS when EVERY business has reduced Support then access to Support channels would not have to be restricted as people would use them sensibly and only when they NEED them, not for the hell of it.

There are many...................... for ex- If want to apply for a job which i am sure that i will get the work and in the job post there is an attachment and it is not downloading (giving error) .. this has happened many times with me................ and i had to loose that job just bcoz upwork was giving error when i tried to download the attachment......... and there are many more endless emergency situations and i have faced many of them in the past due to which i have lost many jobs not from my fault but from upwork fault.

Do you have a SPECIFIC, IMMEDIATE problem? Have you raised a ticket? Or is your issue with the fact that live chat support is not available?

The latter. It always stuns me what people waste Support time with. All that is paid for out of the fees we pay and is the reason why Support options are not available to all at all times.
Sooner or later Upwork may need to start charging for Support like so many other companies. That'll make people think twice before submitting frivolous tickets or starting frivolous chats. I would suggest $ 5 per request.

Upwork is already charging the highest rate in the market 20% (that should include the charges of LIVE CHAT SUPPORT).... and above all.. upwork is only giving LIVE CHAT support to TOP FREELANCER not to everyone.... so any freelancer who is getting LIVE CHAT features has already paid for it.. more than it costs.

For this issue not arises in future .. i have suggestion for Upwork...
They should give 3 free LIVE CHAT SUPPORT and 5 ticket support per month to every freelancer (even who has joined just now) and thereafter charge $10 / chat support ..... instead of giving unlimited live chat support to only TOP FREELANCERS.....

That is INSANE.
I don't bother support that much per year, let alone per month. And I do many times as much business as you do.... Good GRIEF! No wonder there is a problem with support availability.
Unbelievable. Some people cost more in Support cost than they create profit.
