Not getting orders, Need help!

Hey! I'm just writing to see if you can help me out. I've been looking at the list of companies hiring on Upwork, and I haven't gotten any orders in a long time. It's been over a month.

I'm already a published blogger, and I write about topics like the best ways to get your content published, how to find a good editor and other topics that are relevant to my audience.

I know that what I'm offering isn't exactly what these companies are looking for: they want people who can write in an active voice, not a passive voice; they want people who use adverbs instead of adjectives, and they want people who don't use ellipses. But I'm very talented, and I promise that I can do all of those things while still keeping it conversational style.

If you think there might be something wrong with my writing style or if you think it would be better if we worked together on this project, please let me know! We could make this happen!

I hope you don't write this in your proposals.

You are not a bestseller author, who can allow the luxury of saying "this is my writing style, take it or leave it". If you want to find work as a content writer, you have to satisfy each client's needs in terms of style, vocabulary, tone of voice, etc. As a matter of fact, mastering different writing styles is a key skill for content writers.

Regarding your profile:

- You are a content writer, yet you have only 4 lines of description. Only the 1st sentence is informative, the remaining 2 do not convey any particular added value. You are not selling yourself well enough.

- Your specialised profiles are all identical, except for the inconsistency of title capitalisation.

- Perhaps including in your portfolio an essay you wrote on behalf of a Canadian student is not a wise move.

Hey, I'm a professional content writer. Being a writer of several blog posts and articles, I can write engaging, original, well-informed, and SEO-optimized blog posts and articles. But all my expertise fails on Upwork because I can't get too many jobs on Upwork. In the beginning, I got three jobs, but the previous year, I did not have any jobs. Please review my profile and help me improve it and get more jobs. Please help me!!

Kind regards,
Shabana Manzoor
