Number of proposals inferior to answered invites?

Hi there,

Below is a screenshot of the activity box for a project.

Just want to understand: how can the number of proposals be smaller than the number of answered invites? Doesn't accepting an invite implies submitting a proposal?

Thanks for your enlightenment,

This is because when a client posts a job it shows suggestions of the right freelancers with skills set which are relative to job so they invite them.

Why not? Answered invites include all the invites where the freelancers declined the invite (which are not included in the number of proposals)

"Proposals" does NOT include all proposals that were declined, archived or withdrawn either.

A job post can have had 50 proposals originally, but if the client has declined or archived 40 of them, and 7 freelancers withdrew theirs, it will show "less than 5"

At any rate, the client has already hired someone.

You gotta pump those numbers up, those are rookie numbers.

I like to call this particular client "How to exploit Upwork ridiculous system"
