Obtaining Clients

I am new to upwork. I have sumitted a few proposals, but am looking to really increase my clientele. I was looking to gain some advice from experience freelancers on building up my clientele by utliziing the resources provided as well as buidling a strong and attractive profile. Thanks in advance!

You claim to be a graphic designer.

But you have no porftolio on Upwork.

There is no reason to believe that you are serious about wanting to work on Upwork.

Your profile page links to a contact form, which may or may go unnoticed by Upwork.

Upwork personnel do review profile pages. If they find this, it is grounds for suspension.

Aren't we all.

Read around the web. Read the Upwork help docs.

Experiment. Find a proposal style that works for you. Identify clients that are perfect for you from their job description.

Get scammed at least once....it's almost like this is a requirement.

Don't be flakey. You're either in or your out... don't be a flake.

Specialize... own something where pretty much nobody can beat you because you have so much experience.

Repeat business is hard to build up but it's the way of a much less stressful Upwork experience.
