Hi,
I got busy to accept the offer, in the middle of the task, offer expired.
My client wants to renew the offer.
How is that possible?

Hi Mahmoud,
The client can send you a new offer. The easiest way would probably be for them to click on your name in the Messages and then click "View Profile." On your profile they should see a button "Hire Now" and can resend an offer.

Hi, I hired someone but the offer expired before I could pay them. However, it's already been funded, so I suppose the money is with Upwork now? How can I release the payment?

Hi SL,
If the freelancer you selected didn't accept the offer before working on your job and the offer expired, you'll need to send them a new offer, advise them to accept it in order for a contract to be created and for you to release the payment to the freelancer. Hi, I mistyped, I meant to say the funds already paid to Upwork through PayPal. I have not made any payments to the hire through PayPal directly.

Hi,
I am facing the same issue. I did a project without accepting the offer and when asking the client for a new offer, he says the amount is already deducted and if he makes a new offer, the upwork will deduct the amount again. Can you please help and solve this problem? Thanks

A member of the Customer Support Team will reach out to the client for more information about the expired offer. In the future, please do not work on any contract until a contract is in place, and it is showing as an active contract on your My Jobs page.

Those funds will be automatically returned to the billing method you used for the deposit. The credit to your billing method will take up to five business days to appear.
