Online customer doesn't responds or approves to Milestone or pay

Hi,

There is a customer of mine that did not close a contract for 22 days. I read that in 14 days payment happens automaticly but its 22 days it didnt. I was blaming it on customer but it looks like Upwork "paused" my payment.

I dont know why or when, it didnt give any notifications or anything. I read that freelancer can End Contract as well and get paid. So I ended that contract... and now i fear that i don't get paid for it.

Where are you reading that?
Are you having issues with your account (payment being paused..?) ?

UpWork is simple. Really is! It does seem like a lot at first. Yet, it's simple.

Here is a link where you can find about fixed price contracts:

https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211063718-Get-Paid-for-Fixed-Price-Contracts

In short: IF you have a proper contract in place, you can click on Submit work button and IF your client never responds, you'll get $$ from Escrow after 14 days.

Ending a contract with money in escrow means you refund the money to the client. So you should not have closed the contract. You should have waited until the client's payment method is reinstated.
