Opting out of Talent Specialist invitations

Is there a way to do this (and if not, why not?)

I've just received an invitation to a job I'd be "perfect for" that was posted 25 days ago by a client with one 1* review and their rate is far, far below what I charge.

I am yet to receive a "Talent Specialist" invitation that makes any sense and I would prefer to just opt out.

Luke: I have copied your post to this link, which you may be interested in reading. Your comments only strengthen the point your fellow freelancers are trying to get Upwork to understand:

Hi Luke,

If you would like, you can request to be removed from the program as explained in this help article, using this form. Please, let us know if you run into any issues opting out of the program using the form. Thank you.

I opted out of receiving invitations from so-called "Talent Specialists" as soon as I realised that the option was available. Unfortunately it now turns out that there's no escape from being affected **edited for Community Guidelines**, because they are also secretly hiding our proposals from clients (as described in the thread Virginia linked to).
