Wow, Alison -- that must be very frustrating, how you uploaded a picture of someone else entirely, by mistake. And especially bad luck and frustrating, since everyone is so suspicious and paranoid about profiles from certain countries.

Maybe if you could explain how the mistake happened -- and also calrify your name and gender -- this would all be sorted out quickly and easily.

Please how do i go about it? I have been sad since this incidence. And i
recently got verified and started getting job interviews compared to when i
wasn't verified. Please what can i do now to get my account back and upload
my own picture?

It is absolutely impossible to "accidentally" upload the wrong picture. You must have centered and approved the photo before posting it.

You uploaded that picture deliberately and knowing fully well what you were doing, and did so after you verified your profile thinking that you could get away with it.

Please don't get me wrong 🙁, it's really hard to explain certain
situations. I am a Nurse, and i joined upwork to improve my writing
abilities and and as well, get busy when I'm off-duty. I have been restless
looking for help from Google, reddit, etc. Please i wish i can be helped.
I had no ulterior motive. I am just a victim of this circumstance. Please i
need help.

Alison (or whatever your name is):

I wish you the best. I want you to succeed here and in your other endeavors.

But you should understand that if you come here as a new user on Upwork and promote yourself as:
"Blog Writer | Article writer | Copywriter"

(This is the headline from your profile page.)

...Then it is really not okay for you to use such radically non-standard spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalization as you have used in your posts here in the Forum.

If you were an artist, or a voice-over artist, or a Linux system specialist, or just about anything else, then people really wouldn't care.

If we knew you, we might overlook these things. But we don't know you. All we can see is a person who claims to be a writer, yet writes in a way that makes us wonder if they are serious about that claim.

If your goal is (as you state) to improve your writing abilities... I think that is a very admirable goal. But that is not Upwork's purpose for freelancers. Especially for writers. There are many other, better resources to help you do that.

Wow. I am a nurse, a writer and a blogger. This is what i do, and we learn
everyday. Atleast i should be given a fair trial, Atleast. This is hard
for me.

I know it is hard.

Don't take this whole thing personally.

Everybody makes mistakes.

Different online communities have different rules. Written rules as well as unwritten rules. You did not know all the rules for this place when you first arrived here. None of us did.

IT IS COMMON for users to have a rocky start when they first start participating in the Community Forum.

Lots of people had VERY rough starts here and then went on to become highly appreciated Forum participants.

A few tips if you want to continue using Upwork generally and the Community Forum specifically:
Upwork and the Forum value honesty and transparency.
We appreciate all types of people, of all backgrounds.
But unlike many other websites, Upwork isn't the right place for avatars and alternative identities.
And as I alluded to in my previous post: Native English-speaking writers are held to a different standard than other users.

It's obvious i won't be listened to. Going through my account alone and
seeing the notice above is so depressing. Imagine looking at your account
going down. I recently bought some connects yesterday. It's still there,
going down the drain.
