Paid less than agreed.

Hello

Client ended the contract and agreed was $1000, he paid $750(funded), forgot to pay the rest.  When reminded he opened a new contract.

But this cost me 9% drop on JSS.  This is unfair.

I am sorry if you are disappointed, but your understanding of these events is incorrect.

Getting paid more money does not cause a drop in JSS.

 Which part of "getting paid less than agreed HAS NO EFFECT ON THE JSS" is in any way unclear?

Recommeded clients still same, I have done more than 5 contracts with this client, JSS top rated for last one  year and this particular contract ends and JSS drops 9%;

So there must be a reason, rolling window etc, I understand all, I keep a close watch on my contracts.  All contracts in the past 6 month window with positive feedback.  Recommeded clients rising.

 What is it? In the 70s?

Either way. Getting paid less than agreed has absolutely zero effect on your JSS.

 How in the world would it have caused any drop in your JSS?

It was on you that you submitted work against an unfunded milestone.

The client could simply have paid you on the original contract as a bonus, but NEITHER would have had ANY effect on your JSS unless the client left you poor private feedback.

I bet your "clients who would recommend" percentage dropped too, so that's where the problem is likely to lie...

Paying less than agreed has ZERO effect on your JSS. None.

He is an old client, reliable, paid then ended simultaneoulsy.  Realised his mistake and opened a new contract(funded).

Recommeded clients still same.

If you can not give positive answers, refrain pleaase.

Tarpinder, whatever the cause of your 9% JSS drop -- and you join a lot of people who see it drop and aren't sure why, including myself -- being paid $750 instead of $1000 wasn't it.
