Partial Payment

Hi. One of my projects is going more slowly than planned because the client has not been able to get the materials to me as quickly as she had hoped.   I have already turned in some of the work, and we are still planning to proceed. Because now it will take much longer than planned to reach the first milestone, I was thinking about asking  for partial payment of the first milestone ( calculated by percentage of work done.) Then the rest of the escrow could be released as the work was completed. But I was worried that partial payment of a milestone might have a negative impact on my JSS. If that is the case, I will just wait.  Does anyone know?

Mary Elizabeth, partial payments are fine. Only total non-payment is harmful to JSS.
