I'm new and this is my first time getting paid. I requested payment to PayPal and then I realized the paypal email address on my account was wrong.
I have since corrected the PayPal address in my Upwork profile/payment settings, but this was after I requested payment to the incorrect PayPal email address.
So that money won't go anywhere - I'm assuming the deposit will get rejected. Will that payment then "bounce" back to Upwork? If it does, will Upwork automatically retry the payment to the new address, or will it just get put back in holding and then I just request to get paid again?

This will be rejected by the Paypal system and will go back to your Upwork account. You will then have to withdraw to your new payment method (in this case, to your payment method with the correct Paypal account).
